Or did the NFL stumble on to something great? When the lockout was in place there were no player transactions. Once the lockout was lifted, and an agreement in place, the league went ballistic making deals and signing players. Instead of rebuilding their roster over a period of months with painstakingly slow evaluations, they jump right in and made a deal within the week. This has been great for the fan because every time you turn around a new deal/move was being made.

A list of the transactions can be found at:

Or is Bill Belichick extremely confident in his ability to manage players? It says a lot about your confidence as a coach when you bring in Chad Ochocinco, and he is NOT your biggest problem.

Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco have joined the New England Patriots for the 2011 season. Haynesworth, who was with the Washington Redskins last year, managed to pass the conditioning test on his second attempt this year and is allowed to practice with the team. You may remember last year, it took Albert several tries to pass the conditioning test and he missed significant practice time, which irked the coaching staff and teammates. This after signing a huge contract with millions guaranteed up front. Only in sports do you get millions for not performing.
Now Haynesworth is Belichick’s problem. Getting Albert to perform is going to be a major challenge for the Patriots.
Did Chad tell Evelyn (Basketball Wives) about the trade?

Or is the debt ceiling not an issue? If the United States needs money, it should hit Tom Brady (New England Patriots) and Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts) up for a loan. They each make more money (18, 000,000 apiece, per year) than the rest of the world and each one could throw a few coins to the government. Peyton, Tom, remember, one day you will be collecting social security benefits. The benefits you save may be your own.

Or did we praise the NBA a bit too early for their support of The WNBA? It is becoming more difficult to find a WNBA game on television, in addition to very little publicity about the league and its players.

The WNBA is quality basketball with excellent athletes; they deserve more. Come on NBA step up and really support the ladies.

Or was it nice to see Serena win a tournament this weekend? After blood clots in her lungs and two foot operations threatened her career for nearly a year, Serena Williams captured her first tournament title since returning with a 7-5, 6-1 victory against Marion Bartoli the Bank of the West Classic final Sunday. It was the first victory on U. S. soil for an American woman since 2008. Way to go Serena.

Or has baseball started to heat up? NOPE, still moving along at a snail’s pace!!!! As of Tuesday, Boston, Detroit and Texas were leading the divisions, with the Yankees locked into the wildcard in the American League. And Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and San Francisco, were leading the National League divisions, with Atlanta holding on to the wildcard.
Baseball is funny because it has great highlights, but in reality it is a slow moving game, with millions of trivial stats to keep people interested.

Or is Tiger‘s return just what golf needs? Tiger Woods has announced his return to the circuit. A much needed shot in the arm to the golf world. We wish Tiger good health and much success in his return.

Or is Randy Moss pulling a Bret Favre? Moss has announced his retirement from the NFL. Moss who was looking too attached to a club has decided to call it a career, or has he? I am sure a contending team looking for a wide receiver during the season will give Moss a call and he’ll be back. Moss could end up being a “rolling stone” gathering a championship.
